What reaches us
Nothing is gathered about you beyond what you choose to send Columbia Spring & Cable by phone, text, email or the quote form.
In practice that is a name, a phone number, sometimes an email address, the place or ZIP code the door is in, door photos and a few words about the trouble. A booked visit adds the job address, notes on the work done and the payment record.
What the website itself records
No cookies are set, and no analytics or advertising code runs on the site.
Like any host, ours writes routine request logs (the IP address, the browser type and the page asked for) to keep the site up and safe.
Why it is kept
The details you send let us reply, work out and price the repair, schedule and do the visit, reach you about that job, and keep the books and tax records Washington requires. Photos of your door serve only that diagnosis and price.
Text messages
Ticking the consent box on the quote form, or texting us first, lets us text you about that one request: the door, the figure, the booking and the arrival time. The number of texts depends on the job, and your carrier may charge for messages and data.
Send STOP whenever you like to end the texts, or HELP for help. No repair depends on agreeing to texts; phone calls and email work too.
Service providers
The only outside parties that see your details are the tools the business runs on, such as the phone and texting service, the email service, the host and the accounting software, each with no more than its task needs. A legal requirement can also oblige a disclosure.
No one buys, rents or receives your details for their own marketing.
Retention
Requests and job records stay only while your job and the tax and record rules need them, and are then deleted.
Seeing or removing your details
Write to hello@columbiaspringandcable.com or call (360) 469-5755 to see, fix or delete what is held about you, and the reply will say what was changed.
Keeping it safe
The accounts that hold your details are protected with sensible measures such as passwords. Since no system can promise total security, keep card numbers and similar details out of the form and out of texts.
Young visitors
The site is written for adults booking work on their homes, not for children under 13.
