Where we come to you

What to put in a text

Include these and the reply can usually name the part and its starting price.

  • A wide shot of the door from inside, garage light on.
  • A close photo of the spring over the door, or of a bottom corner if a cable looks slack.
  • The sticker on the opener's motor housing, if the opener seems to be involved.
  • One line on what happens when you press the button, and anything you heard.
  • Where the house is: cross streets or a ZIP code.

When you message us after closing

Send a text with a photo and a short note on the trouble at any hour, and the reply comes once we open. If the door will not shut or your car cannot get out, say so first.

Once a spring has broken or a cable has snapped, the safest door is one nobody touches: keep it as it stopped, with children and pets out of the garage, until a technician arrives. The troubleshooting pages explain what is safe to look at while you wait.

Want a price before anyone drives over?

Call and describe what the door is doing, or text a photo of the door and the spring above it. You hear the likely repair and where its price starts, then decide.
